A Quiet Place has taken the decision the formalise its position as a social enterprise. We have been functioning as a small not for profit since 2005. Before that we were informally attached as a charity ‘The Cheiron Project’ to the Department of Education at The University of Liverpool which closed in 2005.
- To advance the effectiveness of mental health support for all ages and abilities through a train the trainer model in education, residential and social care.
- To provide immediate support, which is educational, therapeutic, holistic and integrated within the systems of the partner organisation.
- To provide direct support in school situations by training existing staff with a high-quality provision offering scripts, supervision, monitoring, evaluation and transparency at every level working within the boundaries and definitions of partner bespoke needs.
- To model best practice with research in order to disrupt existing and ineffective services to include both preventative and direct interventions.
Beneficiaries will be children, young people and adults across all ages and abilities across North West, Cheshire and North Wales and in the past we have been at a national level.
Train the Trainer model: Our intention is to work with partner agencies particularly schools including special needs and neuro diverse children and adults who may be struggling with mental health and wellbeing issues. Whilst we offer training our preference is to train the trainer and quality assure the provision centrally.
In short:
to advance the effectiveness of mental health support for all ages and abilities through a ‘train the trainer’ model in education, residential and social care.
To provide immediate support which is educational, therapeutic, holistic and integrated within the systems of the partner organisation.
To provide direct support in school situations by training existing staff with a high-quality provision offering scripts, supervision, monitoring, evaluation and transparency at every level working within the boundaries and definitions of partner bespoke needs
To model best practice with research in order to disrupt existing and ineffective services to include both preventative and direct interventions for children, young people and adults across all ages and abilities.
At present we are limited to North West and North Wales but in the past we have been at a national and potentially international level and hope to do so again in the future.
